About
Battery Park City Ballfields is surprisingly located right next to the financial epicenter of NYC, between Warren and Murray Streets, just around the corner from the Amex and Goldman Sachs headquarters.
When originally created in 2003 as an urban oasis the field was created using natural grass. In addition to damage from Hurricane Sandy and due to high demand and tough weather conditions, its surfaces were renovated in 2013 using sustainable synthetic turf. The city went as far as to build in a special water management system using natural and artificial methods.
While putting the ball behind the net, take in the 360-degree view of towering buildings from this playpen in the heart of the financial jungle.
